I remember that not so long ago, my friend was asking me if I knew if Kohl’s sold sex toys. I was so shocked by the question, as I have always thought of Kohl’s as a store where you buy pajamas, soups, bedclothes, and things like that. But I hadn’t heard that they sold sex toys, so I started researching online to find out.
What I found out was that, shockingly, yes, Kohl’s does actually sell a small selection of sex toys. The range is pretty limited though, just vibrators and a few lubricants, but it’s still amazing that a store we all know and love actually has an aisle dedicated to the pleasure side of life!
When I heard the news, I was at first surprised. Who would have thought that you could buy sex toys from the same place that you buy pans and plates? But then, I got to thinking about it and began to wonder if this was actually a good thing. On one hand, it seemed to break down barriers between what is socially acceptable to purchase in person, and what is not. On the other hand, it made me a bit uncomfortable.
Kohl’s is known as a family-friendly store, and selling sex toys seemed to go against that idea. Still, I can’t help but think that the fact that sex toys are now widely available in Kohl’s and other mainstream stores makes it more acceptable to talk about them. In a way, sex dolls it’s progress for society.
The more I thought about it, the more I began to understand that there is nothing wrong with people wanting to enjoy sex, and there is nothing wrong with using sex toys to help with that. Everyone deserves to be able to enjoy pleasure in an acceptable and responsible way.
It goes without saying that not all Kohl’s stores carry sex toys, so if you want to buy them you’ll have to look for them in the select stores that do. They are usually stored away in hidden sections of the store and are never presented to customers in an overly catchy or eye-catching way, to help maintain the dignified vibe that Kohl’s is known for.
What’s more, besides the physical stores, a lot of companies now also have an online presence. From e-commerce websites, fairs, to digital shops, Amazon, and even YouTube videos. That makes buying sex toys even more convenient, and now you don’t have to feel embarrassed or ashamed to get them.
Admittedly, I find it hilarious that there’s a whole new way to buy sex toys, but I’m also glad that people have options, and that this kind of taboo topic is becoming more widely accepted. After all, everyone deserves to have pleasure, and I’m all for it!
